7 MAIN HEALTH RULES FOR EVERY WOMAN
Youth and health is a wonderful advance, which is given to us by life. Unfortunately, in the daily rush, busy with education and career, we seldom think that any advance will ever be exhausted.
However, with the right approach, you can avoid many unpleasant moments that all women face sooner or later. How to insure yourself against health problems?
1. See your doctor regularly.
According to statistics, over 90% of young women go to a doctor only when absolutely necessary. Meanwhile, a routine blood test, cardiogram, and blood pressure measurement help identify many problems at the very early stage, determine whether we need vitamins, support drugs, or lifestyle changes.
2. Know family medical history
Young people, as a rule, are not interested in knowing what their grandparents complain about, although it cannot be ruled out that they themselves cannot avoid the same problems. With a serious examination, doctors are interested in the medical picture of the family in several generations. This makes it possible to pay attention to the dangerous symptoms at the very beginning (for example, in the case of autoimmune diseases), and to prevent complications by giving up bad habits, changing diet or increasing physical exertion.
3. Avoid untested diets.
Tips from the Internet, miracle funds from advertising, recommendations of stars on radical diets – this is what you definitely do not need to listen to those who care about their health. For example, such a newfangled chip, like a detox diet, aimed at a complete cleansing of the body, which allegedly constantly “gets dirty” because of alcohol, nicotine, poor ecology and low-quality products, carries a great danger. Over millions of years of evolution, the human body has learned naturally to rid itself of unnecessary toxins. Therefore, an artificial activation of this process leads to a weakening of muscle tissue, the loss of essential nutrients and a weakening of the immune system – the body loses its ability to fight infections and inflammations.
4. Do not abuse the sun
Sunscreen is not a whim, but a must-have. Fortunately, not always frequent sunburns lead to tragic consequences, but nobody canceled such a phenomenon as photoaging of the skin. If you don’t want to count senile wrinkles at 40, don’t forget to apply sunblock every time you go to the beach.
5. Get enough sleep
If everyone who got behind the wheel did not suffer from chronic lack of sleep and had a full rest during sleep, hundreds of thousands of accidents could have been avoided each year and tens of thousands of people would not have suffered. Sleep is not a rudimentary habit that takes our precious time. This is an absolutely necessary physiological process by which we maintain our mental balance (and ultimately mental health), maintain normal brain function, especially those centers that are responsible for concentration and memory.
6. To test for STIs
A timely medical examination (at least a regular blood test) helps in the early stages to fight most sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Taking into account the fact that every year half of adult sexually active people pick up this or that type of STI, it is easy to imagine how fewer problems there would be if everyone went to a doctor in time.
7. Do not ignore psychological problems.
According to statistics, less than half of people with mental disorders receive help in full – simply because they do not ask for it. Those who really care about their physical health, safety, duration and quality of life should not ignore the symptoms of mental disorders. The most unfortunate guideline on this issue is social networks, where people appear at their best in the happiest moments, and it seems that any deviation from this beautiful picture is already an anomaly.
